As a fully qualified PE and games teacher, Ellen is happiest when off in the great outdoors. Born and raised in Norfolk, she has great experience in kayaking, sailing, skiing and white-water canoeing. Ellen has taught in "barefoot learning" schools in India, where the school day would often involve a 10km hike to the nearest waterfall so that the children could explore the natural world around them.

VICTORIA BRANDON

Picture
Expedition Staff

Victoria has recently retired after some 25 years of teaching the 8 – 13 age range, always trying to pass on a love for Geography, the outdoors and travel. She has set up and managed many residential trips, some under canvas, and taken hundreds of children into the countryside, often for their first visit. Walking and cycling are her main focus just now, although swimming a mile in the Thames this summer reignited her ‘love’ of donning a wetsuit and heading for the shallows!

Jess has a great passion for the outdoors and spends most of her summers mountain biking across the Republic of Ireland, whether it's getting lost in the Wicklow Mountains or cycling along the Wild Atlantic Way on the West Coast. She also loves exploring by foot, particularly in the Scottish Highlands and across parts North Wales. When she's not exploring in the mud, she loves painting and photography.
